Upon arriving home one night on May 23rd 2004, we (my mom, her boyfriend, and myself) walked into a bloody mess in the kitchen and in the middle of it, unconscious, was my 2 month old kitten, Mr. Sneakers. First, fearing the worst, I thought he was dead, so I picked him up, but as I picked him up he paniced in my arms. My mom and her boyfriend, John, rushed him up to the Emergency Animal Center (EAC) where they said that he more than likely had crushed his skull, and broken his jaw at least. Therefore if his jaw was broken he wouldn't be able to eat, to make a complicated matter simpler, we would have had to put him to sleep right then and there. The doctors took some X-Rays of his head/neck/shoulders. Came back with no crushed skull, no broken jaw, no broken bones at all. However, there's always a however, he was suffering from severe brain trauma, his brain was swollen, and still swelling. They put him on steroids to keep the swelling down, and had him in an incubator to keep his body temprature normal. Other than that there really wasn't much else they were doing for him.

Well, while they rushed him to the EAC, I stayed home and kept myself busy cleaning u the glassy/bloody/cheesey mess... yes cheesey. Is what had happened while we were gone, was just this: We lock the kittens in the bathroom before we leave, Mr. Sneakers and his sister Snuggles, so they don't get hurt, or into trouble. Well, they had found their way out of the bathroom, and was wandering the house, and my mom's dog Baby Girl (keep in mind this is a damn Rottweiler) had sniffed out a glass baking dish on the kitchen counter with left over Cheesey Potatos still in it and jumped up on the counter to get the potatos. Mr. Sneakers was most certianly in the wrong place at the wrong time. Baby Girl knocked the heavy glass baking dish down off the counter, and it landed right on Mr. Sneakers' head.

Well, now, that next morning, my mom contacted the EAC to find out how he was doing, and they told her that he still had not improved any at all, and they said that they didn't think he would, and that it would only be right if (again suggesting) we put him to sleep. However, there's that however again, my mom said 'No, I'd like to have a second opinion.' so, she called our family vet, Dr. Seng, to have him go to the EAC and have a look at Mr. Sneakers. Well, minutes later Dr. Joe Seng called my mom back and said, "No. Do not put this little kitten down, put him in my care, I think he's got about a 50/50 chance of making it." So, that's exactly what we did. We took him from the EAC early Monday morning (8am if you really want to know.) and gave him over to Dr. Seng.

He stayed in the EAC for one night, and was in Dr. Seng's care for one night... then, he came home. He was still in critical condition, and still only had a 50/50 chance of making it through, but Dr. Seng wasn't doing anything for him that we couldn't do for him ourselves at home, where he would get more attention and be with people he knows and also so we wouldn't run up an uneccessary vet bill. He had to be surenge fed special food called A/D, given water via surenge every 2hrs, he had to take one pill a day to keep the swelling in his brain down, and his left side didn't work so, we had to keep his left arm and leg loose, and keep a special gel in his left eye called PuraLube, because he couldn't blink it. Also, we had to stretch his neck, like a chiro does, because he kept it leaned to the left side, so we had to work that out so her could look both ways.

Well, about 3 or 4 days after we had him home, due to his inability to use his left side at all, he injured his left eye (Remember he can't blink the left eye). He scratched 4 of 7 layers of his cornia off. Therefore, he had to get his left eye sewn shut temporarily for it to heal. His eye was sewn shut for about 3 weeks while it healed from the scratches. Mr. Sneakers had also made lots of progress in that time. He had began to walk again, and move around more. He was much more responsive to us, and sometimes even tried to play. With regular check-ups with Dr. Seng Mr. Sneakers is by far better than he was the night of May 23, 2004! By the time came to get his eye re-opened he could walk, play, eat on his own, drink on his own, was cut down to 1/2 a pill a day and was back to trying to show his sister that he's still bigger than her.

June, 23rd, 2004 he and his sister went to the vets, where he took a very small step backwards. They both lost their appitites, and were loosing weight at an unhealthily high rate. Dr. Seng concluded they had developed tape worms, which comes from fleas. Well, anything we seen on store counters were for 6mos and older, so we never could treat the 2 little ones for fleas, but Dr. Seng had some stuff for kittens and gave them that. The tape worms were causing them to have diareah (Sorry, I don't know how to spell that), so he gave them some medication for that. Then he gave them each a shot in the neck for the tape worms themselves, which is where we stepped backwards. He gave Mr. Sneakers the shot, and the kitten yowled, and yowled for nearly 2 minutes. The needle hit muscle... need I say more? I didn't think so. Also gave them a shot for something else, I think it was just anti-biotics. Then treated them for ear mites. When the needle struck that muscle in Mr. Sneakers' neck it threw him off, because it made him sore, and he was having troubles standing up again, and could only take 2 or 3 steps at a time before falling over again. After a day or so passed he was back to where he had left off, walking sideways.

June 27th, 2004 - He went outside and played with his sister for the first time since. He loved every second of it. He can jump short distances or small heights, like up one step, but not quite able to make it up on the couch yet. He's been long off the special diet, he eats about ever 5 or 6 hrs, and can eat regular dry cat food, but we give him canned 9 Lives anyways, because he's just spoiled like that.

June 29, 2004 - He didn't just climb over his barriers in the living room, he jumped over them, without hesitating, or missing his landing. He landed square on all four feet, and waddled off into the kitchen. He seems to remember where the kitchen is quite well. I wonder if it has anything to do with food?

July 5, 2004 - Things seemed to have slowed down significantly. The only real change is that we don't keep him in a cage anymore except wile we sleep. He has free roam of the house, while we're home, he stays on the porch if we go outside (or sometimes he goes outside with us), and he stays in the bathroom if we leave to go to the store, or to eat or anything else. Oh, and he jumped off of the couch today and made a descent landing. He didn't fall on the landing.

July 8, 2004 - Mr. Sneakers is almost back to normal... he still has a little ways to go, but compaired to where he was May 23, 2004, I'd say he's got this thing beanten. Now, we're just hoping that he will not have any permanent brain damage. He can now jump up on top of our dog kennels wich are about mid-thigh in height, and jump off without falling. He's learned by heart the sound of his cat food can being opened, the sound of my finger nails clinking against his dinner plate (yes, he has his own dinner plate, and yes it is one of our good plates), he responds to his name again, lets you know if he wants attention by pawing at your foot, and will rub against you if he so desires. Needless to say these are small, yet progressive improvements. I wish I had further improvments to post, but alas, those will come another day.

July 30, 2004 - One VERY small update, he hasn't seen the inside of his cage for about a week and a half. He sleeps with me at night rather than being put in his cage. ^_^

August 5, 2004 - This update is comeing in a bit late, so firstly I appologize. Mr. Sneakers has been taken off his medications as of Monday, (Aug. 2, 2004) and we are to monitor him for a week, to see if he needs to go back on his medications or if he no longer needs them, and so far he's not acting as if he's "forgotten how to walk" as Dr. Seng put it. It will be a week since he's been of his medications in just 3 days! He still has a ways to go as of yet, but nothing the meds can do for him now. ^_^ Deffinatly a good sign!

August 13, 2004 Well, hmmm... Friday the Thirteenth... was deffinatly unlucky. He was sat on by Baby Girl. (Same dog that dropped the dish on him) And I mean sat right on top of him. Ended up hurting his back left leg. He now limps on it.

August 15, 2004 we haven't been having a very good day. I woke up this morning at about 9am, and noticed Mr. Sneakers was still sleeping. Kind of unusual, but it has happened before. (Mr. Sneakers usually waits for me to wake up before he gets out of bed. He wakes up earlier than myself) So, I started to play with him and scratch his back and talk to him, but when I touched his feet, he felt cold... and his ears and his tummy. So I kind of sat up and bundled the blanket around him but he wasn't even responding to me. I was trying to talk to him, saying his name and kind of shaking him like you would to wake someone up. His eyes were open so I knew he wasn't just in a deep sleep, so I tried to pick him u but he was just dead weight. Like a ragdoll. So, I laid him back down pulled the blanket over him and called my mom who had left w/ John for a little while. Told her what was going on, she suggested putting some food under his nose, see if that gets a reaction... nothing. Not even sniff it. Well, mom had John bring her home and let him do the rest of his running by himself. Then she called Dr. Seng and told him everything, what was wrong with Mr. Sneakers and so forth. Seng said to give him something with alot of sugar. Maple syrup is what we had on hand. (It was either that or Mt. Dew, and we feared the extremely high content in the Dew.) We syrenged some maple syrup down him (and some water to wash it down with.)A few minutes after the syrup, we offered him some more of his food and he ate a little bit. He at least showed some intrest in it. He could sit up and hold himself up if we actually sat him up, but wasn't walking quiute yet. Well, we had a few errands to run so, we stuck him in his C-A-G-E and put a heating pad in there for him. We were gone for a little while and when we came back he had moved himself to the back of his cage, and was quite a bit more alert. But, was again no longer interested in food. He can walk again almost back to where he should be. He even seems to be using that back left leg better, as well, from being sat on.

August 16, 2004. We took Mr. Sneakers to see Dr. Seng today at 7 O' Clock in the morning to determine what had went so wrong yesterday. Seng said that he beilives we may have taken him off his medications a little too soon, and also that fleas may have been a slight factor in the problem, and that any small thing (such as fleas) may be able to cause Mr. Sneakers to act the way he was. So, Dr. Seng told us to start giving him his meds (steroids) again once a day, as before. Dr. Seng gave him a shot of anti-biotics, and todays dose of steroids via needle, and, even though Mr. Sneakers didn't have fleas bad, he then gave him a pill for fleas and put some frontline on him for the fleas as well. We are also still keeping Mr. Sneakers on his heating pad to keep him warm because he still won't hold his own body tempreature. He seems to be doing alot better, he still shows no interest in food, but can't seem to get enough water. He walks quite a bit better, but still not as well as he was, and he's still very tired and very weak. We were told to bring him back to Dr. Seng in a couple of days to see how we're doing, so we will probably take him back in on Wednesday.

August 19, 2004 - He's just about back on track, we're just having troubles getting him back into the small habit of Eating! Oh, he has no problem eating ppl food, and I believe that's the problem, the doc told us to do whatever it takes to get him to eat, and now he won't eat anything but people food. He won't even eat his tuna, and that's his favorite (Or at least was, until introduced to McDonald's sasuage patties)! We are back to feed him via syrenge but only because he only wants people food, and we have to make him eat regular cat food. I know that sounds mean, but it's the only thing we can do. He doesn't need any more sugar buzzes, I mean syrup anymore, since he does show intrest in some sort of food. He just finished off a plate of lazagna, and had some seasoned med rare steak from TEXAS Roadhouse earlier. So, I think he's good to go. Just if only we could convince him that the stuff in that can IS better than what's on our plates, we'd be back to where we left off.

August 28, 2004 - GAWD! He's back eating his OWN food! Also, he LOVES Peas, carrots, and corn so I've rescently found out. I got some really cute pics of him playing today. They are so cute! He has a favorite necklace that belongs to mommy, it has a little blue feather on it, and that's it, on a silverish chain. He plays with it for hours at a time. I don't think I've seen him that playful since he played with my ring! He is just doing alot better in general, all together, I haven't noticed him loosing his balance as often or falling over as often either. He jumps alot better; higher and farther! He goes through about 1½ cans of cat food a day... in just two feedings. However he still isn't growing at all. His sister is about 2 maybe even 3 times his size, and she is technicly younger than him even if it is only by a few minutes. ^_^

September 1, 2004 - I forgot to mentino in the last update our concerns of his right eye. However, he had a vet apointment today for that purpose. We took Mr. Sneakers to the vet today to have his "good eye" (That would be his RIGHT eye) looked at, because it was lookin' a little blury or hazey. When we showed Dr. Seng the eye, he kind of frowned and looked at us, "He's got a cateract." He's going blind in that eye. Doc said there's really not much we can do to save that either. And that the only small chance we have of saving that eye is to take him off his meds. So, we are going to slowly take him off the Prednizone over a course of 2 weeks. The medication is slowing the healing of the ulcer on his left eye, (the one that had to be sewn shut). Taking him off the meds is a long shot for saving the right eye. Also, as I said, slowing the healing of the left eye. We also asked about his groth, because he looks like a 6-8 week old, when he's over 5 months. Seng said he'd probably get a little bigger, but not much more. So he's always going to be a small cat. Not only the the accident itself stun his groth but the meds are as well. Unfortunatly, it doesn't matter what we do in the lon run, Mr. Sneakers will eventually go completly blind in his right eye.

Today, September 24, 2004 - This is the most difficult and the last update I will be making to this page. Yesterday, Mr. Sneakers started to slip into anotherdibetic coma, as he has done once before in the past. However, this time we were unable to pull him out of it. Mr. Sneakers passed away early this morning, at about 4am. Mr. Sneakers is already dearly missed, but still loved just as much now as ever before. I love you, Mr. Sneakers, you were (and still are) my best friend. I miss you and love you very much. I've been crying all morning for you. But you're happier now that you don't have blind spots anymore, you don't have to endure the stress and torment of this physical world. I love you.

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 - I have another heartbreaking update, Mr. Sneakers' only surviving sibling, [Snuggy Buggy] passed away due to a severe upper resperatory infection. She is now with her brothers, sister, and her mother on Rainbow Bridge. We love you all and miss you all very dearly.

2004-08-17 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Ooohh... Egg and Cheese pie... hmmm, that doesn't sound bad... lol

2004-08-17 [moira hawthorne]: its not! and you can stick a few veggs in it aswell... mushrooms and brocolie are good choices with alittle onion...

2004-08-18 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Eww... veggies ruin it! (Except the mushrooms, those are OK) I don't like veggies.

2004-08-18 [moira hawthorne]: well it is flexible... dont have to add the brocolie....

2004-08-18 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Well, yea, duh... lol ^_^ I'll be posting another update prolly tomorrwo night or Thursday. Depending on what Dr. Seng says about Mr. Sneakers. He may not say anything worth posting.

2004-08-18 [moira hawthorne]: give litter fuzzy a hug from me!

2004-08-18 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Sure will! ^_^ (His sister just lost one of her bottom fang teeth... you know what ones I'm talking about.)

2004-08-18 [moira hawthorne]: aaaaaaaaaaaaaa baby teeth its lucky if you can find them....

2004-08-18 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: It was ust about to fall out, like dangling from her mouth... so I actually pulled it. She didn't care either, so it was ready to go.

2004-08-18 [moira hawthorne]: I have 1/2 of loki's baby teeth the other he swollowed we think....

2004-08-18 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Hehe... I have one of Cephus' front claws... he hurt his foot a while back ago and it caused the claw to fall out, so I kept it.

2004-08-18 [moira hawthorne]: did it regrow?

2004-08-18 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Yep

2004-08-20 [sweet death]: awww.. wow taht cat has been through so much thank god that he servived

2004-08-20 [Mister Sneakers]: Awww... more awesome people!!  You guys are so the greatest!

2004-08-20 [Neya]: haha aw he found the better tasting food :P lol he's smart then;)

2004-08-20 [moira hawthorne]: oooooopppsss... well normal advice is ... stop feeding him people food and he will eat the cat food when he is good and hungry... but in Mr W. case I dont think the normal tactics would be the best thing to do... because of his medical problems and brushes with death!

2004-08-20 [hanhepi]: poor cat. lololol. good luck getting him on catfood again. one of our dogs wouldnt eat unless we wnt through a big show of "making" his food. you had to grab spices and pretend to sprinkle them all on there (only realy useing garlic powder) and mix it all up. he wouldnt even sniff at it till you did that. after a while he got over that, but for a few weeks that was what you had to do. lol. maybe if you tryed that for mr sneakers? if he can eat lasagna a little garlic powder shouldnt hurt him...

2004-08-20 [moira hawthorne]: garlic is very good for cats and dogs... it is a natural flea medicine and helps with their asorption of Vit C!

2004-08-20 [hanhepi]: sometimes raw garlic can be hard on their digestive systems though. can give them the runs. lol garlic powder doesnt seem as harsh, and its easier than peeling a clove, choping it up little and mixing it in. lol

2004-08-20 [moira hawthorne]: onions are bad for dogs.... but there is nothing wrong with cooked garlic....

2004-08-20 [hanhepi]: oh yeah, cooked is fine. i sure aint gonna sautee` garlic just for the dogs and cats though. lolol. if i'm already cooking it, ill toss extra in, but not doing it just for them. lol.

2004-08-20 [moira hawthorne]: heheheh I nearly always cook with garlic...since it is soo good for people as well as cats and dogs...plus you can keep some cooked garlic in your frig... and just add it as needed... Neko when she was a kitten was very sick so I made all her food from scatch for the first year of her life... she is now 15 yrs old!

2004-08-20 [hanhepi]: wow! i think the most cooking ive done for the critters was cooking rice for them when we were broke and out of pet food. lol i throw a little grease in it so the cats will eat it. lol.

2004-08-20 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Hehe... well, Mr. Sneakers kind of nibbled at his tuna this morning, but he didn't eat alot... nor will he eat anything else... ANd onions are also very bad for cats.

2004-08-20 [Neya]: aw.. yeah if you take away the human food, he'll eat the cat food if he's hungry.. if he's healthy that is.. I don't think that Mrs. Sneakers would eat anything much then.. which would probably not be very good for him.. hm

2004-08-20 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Yea, it's hard to tell what might get him to eat his cat food again, because he KNOWS if he's hungry, we'll feed him... we won't make him go until he has no choice but cat food.... nor do I think that'd be a good idea for Mr. Sneakers case anyhow.

2004-08-20 [Neya]: yeah that's what I meant, with normal cats, they'd survive.. but I don't think it would be good at all

2004-08-20 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: And even if it wouldn't hurt him, he KNOWS we won't do that anyways. ^_^ There is only one kind of cat food he'll really eat, and it's the expensive stuff that we really can't afford... (well, not expensive short terms but in the long run it is) Those Whiskas Tender Bites, that come in a pouch... he loves those, Ocean Whitefish and Tuna in Gravey. That's his favorite!

2004-08-20 [Neya]: haha awww he's so sweet ^_^ we also have a kitten at home.. so cute :)

2004-08-21 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: What's your kittens' name? You got a piccy? Is it a boy or girl? WHat's it look like? (You know...the 3rd degree)

2004-08-22 [GregowicH]: poor kitten, he has been through more than even a human can take... i hope he gets much better soon.

2004-08-23 [mendijiggli]: Have u ever thought in sell Mr. Snickers´story for a soap opera?

2004-08-23 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: No! I'm not gonna exploit my kitten!!! lol although it is a soap opera just waiting to happen. A while ago it was likened to a Disney Film.

2004-08-28 [Tysenaar]: $%#@ing dogs... hate them...

2004-08-28 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: No, I don't hate my dogs.

2004-08-28 [moira hawthorne]: thats would be like hating one child b/c they had an accident and hurt the other.... the dog didnt try to hurt Mr S.... he was just in the wrong place!

2004-08-28 [Cati Stormweaver]: Awww..... Im so sorry...... hes so cute! Did he have low blood sugar when he didnt wake up? Thats what happened to my kittens, one died from it, and the other was lying on my bed, and the same thing happened to her as you said happened to Mr. Sneakers, we took her to the vet, and they syrined her some sugar water, and she jumped right back up, i was so happy i almost started crying, but we had to keep her fed, and give her honey, my mom satyed up all night with her, but she got limp the next moring and died.... But i hope your kitten's alright!!

2004-08-29 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Yup, that's exactly what happened to Mr. Sneakers. But our vet office wasn't open at the time and it was Sunday, so we just called Dr. Seng himself at home and told him the problem, and he said to give him anything with sugar in it... and maple syrup was something with lots of sugar and it deffinatly brought him out of it. Not right away but, sooner or later. Mr. Sneakers is doing alright now.

2004-08-29 [Archeress of Mirkwood]:

[New Pics of Mr. Sneakers within the week!]

2004-08-29 [moira hawthorne]: weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

2004-08-29 [Neya]: :D:D:D:D

2004-08-30 [weefreeman]: *reads the story and sniffles* moo. *wishes mr. sneakers the absolute best ever*

2004-08-31 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: I will have the photos I spoke of up HOPEFULLY by tomorrow night. Depending on tomorrows plans and my computer's behavior. ^_^

2004-08-31 [moira hawthorne]: *sits on hands and waits* geee its hard to type when you are sitting on your hands....

2004-09-01 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: LOL! I can imagine it would be...lol Just use your toes to type I guess...^.^

2004-09-01 [moira hawthorne]: nose

2004-09-02 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: lol... ^_^ Whichever works! ~_^

2004-09-02 [moira hawthorne]: poor little kitty!

2004-09-02 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: And here we thought his right eye was gonna be his good eye... @.@

2004-09-02 [moira hawthorne]: its not fair!

2004-09-02 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: No it's not... poor little guy doesn't deserve this... *Sniffles* Dr. Seng called him Wonder Kitty though.

2004-09-02 [moira hawthorne]: *crys*

2004-09-02 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: I know, I felt like crying when he said that there really sin't anything we can do... Mr. SNeakers has been through so much... :'(

2004-09-02 [Chi]: poor babby *finds one of my cats and hugs it* i would hate to have this happen. Its ooo sad

2004-09-02 [jaderii]: *Sniffle* Wowza. That almost made me cry. :( Poor Mr. Sneakers. He's a pretty strong cat though!! Good luck to Mr. Sneakers!!

2004-09-07 [Neko the Kitty]: ;_; poor mr.Sneakers!

2004-09-08 [Milk and cookies]: lucky kitty.

2004-09-08 [deleted, gone]: awww thats so sad im sorry baby! my cat had surgery for a cateract it worked, ask about it

2004-09-09 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: It's gone too far... -_-

2004-09-10 [Zauberin]: aww its good hes eating yay! Too bad for his eye though... is there hope for his left eye? I have two old cats, one is 17 and had one eye removed due to severe glaucoma. The other cat is 16, and went completely blind in both eyes from unchecked high blood pressure (which is under control now)... both are still living rather happy lives. The blind one needs a little help, but for the most part, gets around surprisingly well... so my best wishes to mr. sneakers. I hope he is able to see, but if not, he can still be a happy spoiled kitty! *huggles everyone and the kittens*

2004-09-11 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: For his left eye, yes, just waiting for the ulcer to heal up. But there is very little hope for his right eye.

2004-09-11 [moira hawthorne]: I had a dog that was blind.. he didnt care as long as we didnt move the furnature lot... and a cat that was deaf... she was still queen mother god of the universe!

2004-09-11 [Zauberin]: well then, he can still be a happy kitty with no depth perception... which im sure hell learn to deal with... its sad all this had to happen when he was so young... but your vet is right about him being a wondercat! very few animals could have survived such an injury, and even fewer vets would be willing to give him the chance!

2004-09-11 [moira hawthorne]: animals are more resistant than humans to injury and disability... people are whiners! lol! ... I know... Im a big whiner!

2004-09-11 [Zauberin]: my blind cat is just fine most of the time.. he gets lost now and then and cries til someone puts him in a more familiar place, but hes learned to walk slowly and use his nose and whiskers more

2004-09-11 [moira hawthorne]: My friend had a cat that was found in a Edmonton blizzard... more than 1/2 frozen... he loss nearly everything but his life to frostbite... no toes balls tail ears... so he was named Skidmark

2004-09-11 [Zauberin]: ww poor thing!

2004-09-11 [moira hawthorne]: he was a real clown! such a dumb cat! would fall asleep at the top of the stairs and fall down them! but tho he was consantly getting himself in trouble ... climbing things and stuff ... he was a happy cat!

2004-09-11 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Hehehe... The steroids that Mr. Sneakers is on has effected his manlyhood... he doesn't have any balls... my mom was wondering if perhaps we should rename him miss sneakers! So not nice! Dr. Seng is a wonderful vet... he is also Iowa state senator, he said he makes more money in one pay period being a senator than he does in a year being a vet, but he'd still rather be a vet because he loves animals. ^_^

2004-09-11 [moira hawthorne]: GENDER IS IN THE MIND... NOT BETWEEN YOUR LEGS!

2004-09-11 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Hehehe... lol Well, he's out of his mind, so we have to decide that for him... (J/K!) I say he's still a little Mister. that's what he was born as.

2004-09-11 [Milk and cookies]: i dunno...miss sneakers has a nice ring to it!lol

2004-09-11 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Hahaha... lol Awww... *Huggles Mr. Sneakers* It's ok, I won't let them change you to a Miss Sneakers! *Huggles him more*

2004-09-11 [Milk and cookies]: naw...I LOVE mister sneakers the way he is!

2004-09-11 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: How's that...sleeping? LOL! That's what he's doing rightnow... -_- He's sleeping on a fluffy pillow, with his little silver food dish right in front of him. Spoiled li'l brat! LOL! :P

2004-09-11 [Zauberin]: as well he should be!

2004-09-11 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Trust me, he is. lol... and he don't like getting baths either!

2004-09-12 [punk_sk8er]: that cat seems to have very bad luck but it seems it has some good owners who had faith he'd heal and not have to worry about putting him to sleep and something like that happended to my cat i know how you feel only she died about 3 weeks ago

2004-09-13 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Awww... *Hugz* I'm sorry to hear that. :'( But yes, Mr. Sneakers is a very strong kitty, with a lot of bad luck. >.<

2004-09-16 [Milk and cookies]: my cat went missing two years ago.I still cry...he was my best friend.one of my friends said that she saw him in a kennel in someones yard.I CANT BEILEIVE SOMEONE STOLE MY KITTIE!

2004-09-24 [moira hawthorne]: You did your best for him love! he has gone back to the Goddess! he had a very eventful 6 mths! full of tradidy but also LOVE!

2004-09-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: He will come back to me sooner or later.

2004-09-24 [moira hawthorne]: yes he is just taking a break in the Goddess's lap...

2004-09-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: I bet he knows how to purr now. ^.^

2004-09-25 [Chi]: *cries*

2004-09-25 [Milk and cookies]: I am really crying in real life.I prayed for mister sneakers...

2004-09-25 [Ashurii]: Aw, that really sucks... ;_; He was too young to die!

2004-09-25 [Zauberin]: *also crying*

2004-09-28 [Cati Stormweaver]: *reads and cries* omg i am so sorry, thats exactly what happened to my kitten Sylvia, she was doing fine, but she just slipped away, just like that.... its not fair!!!! the cute ones always die!!!!!!!

2004-09-28 [Milk and cookies]: ...they just die...life sucks.

2004-09-28 [dr]: ...you say that so sympathetically *sarcasm alarm is heard blowing up*

2004-09-28 [Milk and cookies]: *looks up in shock*who said what?

2004-09-28 [dr]: that just sounds cold to me...could be that written text doesn't display emotion, but...i dunno, i prolly just misunderstood

2004-09-28 [Milk and cookies]: ..I am in a bad mood.someone just mailed me dissing mr.sneakers.

2004-09-28 [dr]: that is so cruel!

2004-09-28 [Milk and cookies]: I KNOW!i drew a picture of him today!

2004-09-28 [dr]: i knever knew mr. sneakers, but after reading this, it feels like i was just as much a part of it as everyone else was...i prayed for him every night...

2004-09-28 [Milk and cookies]: I cryed when he left.I was really sad.

2004-10-04 [spongemonkey]: I'm crying right now.

2004-10-04 [dr]: *brings digital tissues* it's ok. he's in a better place now.

2004-10-04 [Milk and cookies]: ...

2004-10-05 [Sad Lonely Angel]: *cries* ill miss u mr sneakers!

2004-10-05 [Yoruno]: Good bye, Mr. Sneakers... we will all miss you, but I´m sure you´re much better now. We love you!

2004-10-05 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Well, thank you all for everything... if you would like you may visit Memory boo or we miss you mr sneakers  Those are his memorial pages... the first one made by [Raiff] the second mayde by [Neya]... I'm sorry if I misspelled anyones name there, but... -_-

2004-10-08 [ArchangelGabriel]: I know its adifficult but i have to ask, What accident happened to MR Sneakers? You didn't say how it was that he got hurt...

2004-10-08 [Neya]: the dog jumped on the counter, and something fell off, on mister sneakers (head?)

2004-10-08 [ArchangelGabriel]: Poor, mister sneakers. Would you be able to put that up so people know?

2004-10-08 [Neya]: I quote: Mr. Sneakers was most certianly in the wrong place at the wrong time. Baby Girl knocked the heavy glass baking dish down off the counter, and it landed right on Mr. Sneakers' head. (so it's already there)

2004-10-08 [ArchangelGabriel]: sorry, i was expecting it to be at the begining,

2004-10-10 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Yea, It's more towards the middle of the story when we figured out what had happened.

2004-10-14 [Sarah Serenade]: omg that's so sad! i'm sorry

2004-10-22 [Moucher]: i feel for your loss of mr sneakers that is why i stand by the saying never give your heart to a pet to tear

2004-10-23 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: I will always give all of my heart to all of my pets since they do the same for me. Thus I will mourn the loss of them as they would for me.

2004-10-23 [Neya]: I agree with archeress... what would pets mean to you if you wouldn't even love them? what use would there be in having a pet if you can't even get close to it? You feel love for the animals when you get them or when something goes right, and you mourn for them if you loose them, but you still have the memories of good moments you spent with them

2004-10-23 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: BTW: [Neya] You can just call me Erin or Saffyre (Saffy for short) if you want. ;)

2004-10-23 [Milk and cookies]: GUESS WHAT?!?!?I am making a clay sculpter of mister sneakers in his memory.i'll take a picture when its done!

2004-10-23 [Neya]: oh COOL ^_^ .. and.. ok I will;)

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Awwww... thanks [Milk and cookies]!

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: it'll take some time because I am doing it at school so i have only an hout every 2 days to work on it.and the clay will be dry after the first day so i might not be all that detailed due to lack of time, but i'll do my best.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: That's OK... ^.^ I'm sure it will be adorable.

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: heh....me and clay are not the best.you'll know what i mean when you see.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Well, I'm not the best with computers, but if you look at the 4 banner thingies at the bottom of his art page you'll see what I did for him. lol

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: i'll try my best, thats all that matters.if you REALLY want I could mail the finished project to you,i wont have anywere to put it when i'm done.

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: if it turns out good enough.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Oh, that'd be great!!! I'd love it! ^.^

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: we'll see when its done.for now I'll just have to work on it,and I wont get it home for at least a month because the teacher marks 12 grades of artwork.and there are no garenties it wont be displayed, meaning anouther month of waiting.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: That's OK, take you time.

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: lol.i'll try my best.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: banana

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: what?

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Oops... I wondered why my page changed... I thoought I typed 'banana' into yahoo search and hit tab enter... lol Teeheeheehee!

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: LMAO!!!!

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: lol... yea, I know... I have issues..:P

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: i do too.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: lol... it's OK... we all have issues... we're all just a different volume!  (Yea, I'm a comic book nerd too.)

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: lol.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Well, I thinkI'm gonna be headin' outta here for a while...

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: ok.

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Catch ya later!

2004-10-24 [Milk and cookies]: bye

2004-10-24 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: HOOHAA!! I've returned!

2004-10-24 [Moucher]: well my dogs and ferrts are used for hunting there all working animals ima ttached to them sure but i cant get to attached because accidents do happen when thier working

2004-10-25 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: It doesn't matter what they are used for... my dog is a hunting dog too... that doesn't mean I should love her less, as a matter of fact I should only love her all the more to be in those dagerous situations WILLINGLY...

2004-10-25 [Moucher]: i cant llove m animals

2004-10-25 [Moucher]: i have lost to of my dogs wehn hunting when they ran across the road that tore me up inside that is why im not going to give my heart to another dog

2004-10-26 [crikey o'reilly]: aaw that poor cat, he's really cute..i feel very sorry for you, my cat died to :'(

2004-10-28 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Well, as I said before, Brimstone and Whisky, my animals live to make me happy, and to serve me and love me with every ounce of their little being, so I will do the same for them. And just as they would mourn if I were to leave I will mourn them when they leave this world.

2004-10-28 [Moucher]: fair enough if you want to put yourself through that much pain, it's your choice and i wish you the best of luck!

2004-11-13 [Angelically Broken]: breakingbensgirl: oh poor, poor kitty *cry*:(  i have a rotty lab mix but he would never jump up on the counter.

2004-11-20 [deleted12344567 89]: MR.SNEAKERS!!!!! T_T *cries*

2004-12-26 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: TY *Hugs Forgotten* Not that it's any consolation but I have a new kitten that is the same age Mr. Sneakers was when he first got hurt. We are being extra careful with him.

2005-01-12 [Milk and cookies]: not going to replace him though.

2005-01-13 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Never! There's no way to EVER replace Mr. Sneakers... he's one of a kind. When he was created, they threw away the mold!

2005-01-13 [Milk and cookies]: beautifully said

2005-01-14 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: ^_^

2005-02-21 [Tommy Gunn]: thats so sad, poor mr sneakers!

2005-02-23 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Wow... I'm surprised people are still finding this page... and taking the time to read it.

2005-03-20 [Babe-a -lious me!]: oooo :'( * Runs to go get own kitty*

2005-03-20 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Yea... never leave ill mannered dogs running the house when you have little kittens. >.<  (BTW: I have a new kitten only 4 days old now.)

2005-03-29 [samantha louise!]: OMG! am so sorry about your c@! god u must of been warped! :( am so sorry *hugglez*

2005-05-19 [Clairey]: i am actually crying now.

2005-06-23 [Forestq]: poor guy. It sounds like he was such an adorable little thing. I don't know what I would do if that happened to one of my kitties.I love them all. Especially my little boy. I'm so sorry.

2005-07-02 [Kileaiya]: I am so very sorry about your tragedy! Bless the poor little fellows heart! I lost my cat I've had for 9 years last year and miss her so. I'm so sorry you lost him.

2005-07-09 [elvenrogue]: my seneriest appolgoies

2005-07-12 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: Thank you all... Mr. Sneakers would be almost one and a hlaf years old now if I still had him... but I believe I have him back in spirit via my cat [Jericho Kitty]... So many of Jericho's actions and personality are like Mr. Sneakers'

2005-08-11 [Moved to]: I'm so sorry...:(

2005-12-30 [Gluttony]: You shoulda' seen my chihuahua a few years ago... someone ran over it... on our way back from church, we found it dead and bloody on the side of the road... my sister cried for hours... ah, yes... gooood times...

2005-12-30 [Neya]: thats not very.. nice:S

2006-03-09 [BinaryPhoenix]: :'( I am so sad now. So sorry for your loss...

2006-03-30 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: That's awefull. I'm puppy-sitting a chihauahua with a broken foot.

2006-07-25 [lithrath]: I know a bit late in coming but wow...with a bit more fleshing out, you could turn Mr. Sneakers story into a movie... ^.^ Kidding aside, it's kind of comforting to read about the challenges other pet owners have faced. Personally I've dealt with an epileptic gerbil and recently we had to put my diabetic cat down. Her back end became paralyzed after experiencing a blood clot in her spine T.T She was the same age as me...perhaps now she's teaching Mr. Sneakers how to act like a mobster (she did ^.^)

2006-07-26 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: I have a friend that has a dibetic cat, the cat's name is Coleman, and requires insulin shots every 4 hrs. I just lost one of my cats to Feline Lukimia (Mr. Sneakers' great-uncle P.J. as a matter of fact) Mr. Sneakers' sister, [Snuggy Buggy] just got over a realy bad alergic reaction to Kit'N'Kabootle and Meow Mix. (I have alot of cats)

2006-08-08 [Gone123456789]: Oh em gee that's horrible. If that ever happened to my cat I'd be devestated. I'm glad you can share the experience with others.

2007-01-04 [Jadala*(Once upon a moment)]: I'd shoot that damn dog.

2007-01-06 [Archeress of Mirkwood]: The dog didn't know she was hurtin gthe kitten when it happened. Can't hold it against her, however she did get in trouble for getting on the counter and stealing food.
